Şive

A short film exploring themes of identity, language barriers, and the liminal spaces between cultures, Şive uses a split-screen structure to move between English- and Turkish-speaking perspectives, highlighting both separation and connection.

I co-wrote and co-directed the film, and it became a deeply rewarding learning experience. Beyond bringing the story to life, the process demanded both personal and professional growth. It pushed me to engage more critically with ideas of identity, belonging, and representation, while challenging me to communicate these themes effectively within a short-form format.
