Lily Marsland

I'm a video storyteller connecting with people through honest, distinctive visuals and narratives.

Lily Marsland

Documentary filmmaker specialising in real-world storytelling, with a focus on underrepresented voices and human-led narratives. Experienced in researching, shooting and editing short documentaries, including an RTS award-winning film.

Whether I'm creating documentaries, commercials, music videos or short films, my approach is always the same: start with something real. I'm drawn to people, the natural world, and unfiltered moments, shaping them into work that connects with audiences in a meaningful way.

Driven by chronic creativity and an investigative approach to filmmaking, I'm always searching for the unexpected angle, the overlooked detail, or the perspective that brings something new into focus. I develop ideas quickly and intuitively, aligning them with a brand's identity while ensuring the outcome feels fresh, authentic, and engaging.

I work across a range of formats, from short-form and social content to longer-form films, finding considered, innovative ways to engage audiences wherever they encounter the work. My style is imaginative and emotionally driven, rooted in the poetry of everyday life and shaped by a desire to create work that feels both distinctive and lasting.

Whatever the format, the aim is always the same: to create something that resonates.
